Long weekend with my wife. Ski-in/ski-out is everything we hoped — Ballhooter lift was a 90-second walk from the door. Mountain-view balcony at dusk with a glass of wine, fireplace going inside. The no-resort-fee thing is real. Booking total at LuxStay was clean — no surprise $40/night charge like the on-mountain hotel quoted us. Will book again next winter.
Family trip with two kids. Kitchen was fully stocked, so we made breakfast and lunch instead of paying resort prices. Sleeper sofa worked great — the kids called it "the best bed ever." The Glice ice rink in the building was a huge hit — kids skated indoors when it was too cold outside. Snowshoe Village was a 5-minute walk for dinner. Better value than any of the on-mountain options we looked at.
Drove up from DC for President's Day weekend. Four hours, easy drive. The condo is exactly as photographed — mountain-view balcony as advertised, fireplace working perfectly, king bed comfortable. Ski locker downstairs for our gear. We rented from Snowshoe rentals on arrival, hit the slopes by 9am the next morning. Loved it.
Four of us drove down from Pittsburgh for a long weekend. The location is unreal — Ballhooter lift literally 30 seconds from the door. We came back wet after every run and the gas fireplace dried our gear faster than any hotel rack. The Glice rink in the building was a lifesaver when the weather was too cold to ski. Self check-in worked perfectly at 11 PM after the drive. We will absolutely be back.

The drive: about 4 hours from Washington DC, 3 from Pittsburgh, 4 from Charlotte, and 5 from Richmond. Most guests arrive Friday night and ski Saturday morning.
